From, my experience with these in the UK they are very useful for advertising, health promotion. It can be used as a call system, so the patients name comes up for whichever doctor they are seeing. You do not necessarily have to have the big screen but an electronic sign similar to the road side ones which bring up information. They work well too. It has endless uses and formats.

What a fantastic idea. We all know that the amount of posters and health advertising material can be a virtual graffiti hazard for any waiting room or patient lounge. I will certainly be running this idea past our stakeholders.
